Businesses have one purpose; to create a profit for shareholders (or stakeholders if private). They are very good at this, sometimes at the expense of people's lives. Since when was the survival of a profit engine more important than the survival of people? Why do we subsidize the corporations who do the most damage while cutting funding from those that seek to repair or prevent the damage?
